Elnora Pepitone Chenevert, a retired grocery store owner, died Wednesday at Waldon Healtcare Center in Kenner. She was 88. Mrs. Chenevert was born in Dupont and lived in Metairie for the past 62 years. She owned Chenevert Grocery Store in Metairie. Survivors include two sons, James T and Joseph T. Chenevert Jr.; a daughter Janet C. Russo; two brothers Elliot J. and Harold Pepitone; three sisters, Odette P. Riviere, Lelia P. Guillory and Lurline Neck; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 1pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
