Emigrated to U.S. in 1890. Resided 332 Everett Street, Toledo, OH. Wife: Anna. Occupation: Plumber. Raised a family of 11 children. His father was George Lesniewski who was born and died in Poland. His mother's maiden name was Dulak, who was born and died in Poland. John grew up in the Polish corridor. He spoke fluent German as his schooling was in German due to the fact that Prussia controlled that part of the German-Polish corridor. U.S. Census listings are confused, showing 3 different years of immigration--1890, 1891, and 1892. One listing shows that he had become a naturalized I.S. Citizen citizen by 1895. Thus, he appreciated German culture as well as his Polish heritage. He settled in the largely Polish neighborhood known as the "North End" in Toledo.

Married Anna Wojciechowski.
