Mack Henry Baggett, 79, 3318 E. Linda Drive, died early Saturday morning, Feb. 3, 2001, in a Florence Hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Florence National Cemetery.

Mr. Baggett was born March 9, 1921, in Florence County, a son of the late Rev. Judson Vernon Baggett and the late Mollie Cooper Baggett. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired paint contractor.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Surviving are his wife, Avis Milam Baggett of Florence; two sons, Johnny Mack (Gloria) Baggett of Florence and Henry Earl (Sabina) Baggett of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Brenda B. (Samuel) Bosley of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Judy Gail Baggett of Florence; two sisters, Ina Pearl B. Fisher of Hemingway and Helon Hanna Gerald of Mullins; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
