She graduated and received her teaching degree from Texas Lutheran College. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening and animals.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Linwood "Tex" Gisler; sisters, Elfrieda Gisler, Ocie Schaefer, Bernice Bernhard, and Elizabeth Lichnovsky; and brother, Nelson Schaefer.
Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley. Burial will follow at Mission Valley Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Couchman officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Gisler, Tom Henley, Curtis Gisler, Lyman Mereness, Mike Schaefer, and Marc Bernhard. Honorary pallbearers who preceded her in death are Jimmie Gisler, Kay Gisler, Louis Tittizer, and Jack Stewart Schaefer.
