Immigrated with husband, Joseph, from Prague in 1867 on ship named "Northern Light". Sailed into New York Harbor on June 28, 1867. Settled in Johnson County in Iowa to farm. Had 9 children: Anna, Maria, Otilia, Antoine, Teresa, Frantiska, Joseph, Wesley and Frank. Divorced husband and settled in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Is buried with her daughter's family, the Sedlaceks. Died at age 83 from Bronchitis.
