Funeral services for Charles Mack Rinehart, 80 will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Gene Nix pastor of Shreve City Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Douglas Cemetery near Ruston. Visitation with the family was held from 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home.
Mack was born on Sept. 2, 1930 in Douglas to Lonnie Julian and Docia Samantha Rinehart. He passed away on Nov. 7, 2010, in Shreveport, where he was a resident and was self-employed as a contract pumper in the oil and gas business for 48 years.
He was a member of the Greenwood Chapters of the Masonic Lodge #409 and the Order of the Eastern Star #202. He proudly served his country in the National Guard.
He had been an active member of several Baptist churches in the area and most recently he served as deacon and an adult choir member at Shreve City Baptist Church. Mack was known for his Wednesday night suppers and was famous for his "Mack" Burgers.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Wanda M. Rinehart and Marilee G. Rinehart and brother, Kenneth Rinehart. Left to cherish loving memories of him is his wife Cloe Teer Rinehart; son, Chuck Rinehart and wife, Karen; stepsons, Charles R. Henington, Jr. and wife, Angie and David T. Henington; grandchildren, Neil Rinehart and wife, Beth, Sandi Stephens and husband, Brian; Abigail Henington, Cole Henington and wife, Stacy and Matthew Henington; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Ben and Macy; sisters, Doris Jones, Maxine Arrington, Louise White and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Mack, as pallbearers will be Paul George, Billy Grisham, Robert Leachman, Steve Patterson, Joe Reis, Jeff Teer, Scott Teer and Tony White. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Shreve City Baptist Church and Ray Leach. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Christus-Schumpert Highland Hospital.
