Byesville - Roy C. King, 72, of 145 Lakeview Terrace, Byesville, died about 3 pm Thursday (March 27, 1980) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born Feb 7, 1908, son of George and Etta Sills King. HE was a former employee of Cambridge Glass and Marks Transfer and Storage. He was a member of Byesville Free Methodist Church.
He leaves his wife, Juanita Bennett King, whom he married April 7, 1934; one son, Melvin of Cambridge; three daughters, Mrs William (Wanda) Graham of Woodsfield, Gail Larrison of Pleasant City and Mrs. Thomas (Lois) Vaughn of Cambridge; four sisters, Mrs. Wilda Williams of Canton, Mrs. Fran McCrea and Mrs. Robert Sheets King both of Chicago , Ills., and Mrs. Linda Fenton of Cambridge; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. There are two brothers deceased.
Friends may call from 7-9 pm today at McGaughy-Black Funeral Home, Byesville, where services will be Saturday at 1 pm with the Rev. N. R. Jeffrey officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
