Wilhelmine Wiegert
Wilhelmine Wiegert, daughter of Herman and Margaret Wolting, was born in Gehrde, Hanover, Germany, Feb. 17, 1875. Several days later she was baptized and was confirmed in the Lutheran doctrine April 28, 1889.
In 1893 she came with her parents in Lincoln and continuously made her home here. In the same year she joined St. John Lutheran Church.
Sept. 5, 1918, she was united in marriage to William Wiegert. She was a kind, loving companion, always overly ambitious in service to her husband.
The deceased had been in delicate health for years. During her last illness, which was severe and lingering, she suffered intensely at times. However, she accepted her suffering cheerfully and uncomplainingly. On the early morning of Jan. 4, she quietly fell asleep in Jesus, aged 57 years, 10 months and 17 days.
There are left to mourn her departure, besides her husband, six stepchildren, four brothers, two sisters, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at her home Jan. 6, and continued at the St. John's Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. H. Kroening.
