He married Alice Marilca Zuith Pruitt (or Pratt?) in Montgomery County, Arkansas. Their children were Lyda LaPatra Wood Cross (1886-1931); Lavan Wood (Jan, 1885-Aug 18, 1885); Oscar Benton Wood (1888-1964); John Bell Wood (1890-1965) and Alexander Wood (1899-1969), Addie Ethel Wood Pike (1894-1976), Alma Zela Wood Summitt 1896-1975), Mary Catherine Wood Tucker (1899-?), Margaurite Manday Wood Tucker (1901-1968).
