Freddy Lee Benedict Sr., 55 years of age, of Maxey Valley, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 at home.

Freddy was born on February 5th, 1956 in Moreland, Kentucky, son of the late George Lewis Benedict and Beatrice Crowe Benedict. He was a mechanic and of the Pentecostal Faith. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Freddy was survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dolly Reardon Benedict; two sons, Freddy Lee (and Gladys) Benedict Jr. of Maxey Valley, Kentucky and Chris (and Angela) Benedict of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; one brother, David Benedict of Danville, Kentucky; one sister, Phylisha Stucky of Dodge City, Kansas; three grandchildren, Bobby, Tyler and Miranda; a special friend, Mary Manning; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Hustonville, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 in the Chapel of the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Adams officiating.

His pallbearers were, Lemuel Reardon, George Ross, Tim Reynolds, Tyler Padgett, Johnny Crowe, and Gene Crowe.

Burial followed in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
