OBRA (BOB) GOODSON
Rev. A. L. McAffrey and Rev. Jim House officiated at last rites held at the First Baptist church, Sulphur, on Feb. 15, for Obra (Bob) Goodson, 75, who died Feb. 13 at Sulphur. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by McAffrey Funeral Home.
Born July 22, 1905, in Clarksville, Texas, he had made his life in this area since childhood. He was a retired dairyman and rancher and a member of the East Side Free Will Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Ann, of the home; two sons, Bob Goodson, Sulphur, and Gerald Goodson, Davis; one daughter, Betty Shaw, Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Verdie (Bus) Goodson, Mill Creek; two sisters, Grace Runyan, Sulphur, and Eula Bulman, Mill Creek; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were the nephews.
