A fall at her home Thursday afternoon proved fatal for a longtime resident of Nevada, Mrs. Mayme Miskell, 80. Mrs. Miskell was found lying near the doorway of her home at 1407 K Avenue. She had struck her head on the concrete after apparently losing her balance when the wind swept open the door of her house. She was taken to Story County Hospital and then transferred to Iowa Methodist a short time later.

Born March 2, 1889 in Taylor County, Ky., she has lived in Nevada for 20 years.

Survivors include a son Billy Joe of Nevada; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Schuler of Zearing, Mrs. Margaret Hogg of Fullerton, Calif., Mrs. Lucille Voogd of Des Moines, Mrs. Irene Bowers of Nevada, and Mrs. Opel Sperow Of Burlington, 13 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and two brothers, Dave Rogers of Lebanon, Ky., and Ben Rogers of Campbellsville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one grandson, a daughter in infancy, and her husband Noel.
