Funeral services for Grover Rodgers were conducted Wednesday morning at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, Rev. Sam Rochester, Rev. Marshall Black, and Rev. Arthur Upchurch in charge. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. Mr. Rodgers had long been a member of First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville, and had served as a deacon of that church for many years. He was born in Marion County on October 14, 1884, the son of the late John and Lucinda Maupin Rodgers, and died December 4th at Rosary Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Shreve Rodgers, whom he married on December 22, 1921; five sons and two daughters, Ralph Rodgers, Alvin Wilkerson, Maurice Rodgers, Lucian Rodgers, Grover Rodgers, Jr., Mrs. Charles Richerson and Mrs. J. D. Warren, all of Campbellsville. He is survived by two brothers and one sister: Ben Rodgers, Route 2, Campbellsville; Dave Rodgers of Lebanon; and Mrs. Mayme Miskell of Iowa; nineteen grandchildren and t!
hirteen great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers included William McFarland, James G. Bryant, James Smith, J. B. Crawley, Charles H. White, and Coburn Stanfield. Honorary bearers were Paul Smith, S. V. Kessler, John Smith, Omer Smith, Earl Smith, W. C. Mitchell, David Mitchell and Henry Spratt.
