Vern H. Stone
Manchester - Rites for Vern Henry Stone, 65, of Manchester Depot, who died Wednesday in the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction, will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center.
The Rev. Edgar Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Factory Point Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 pm.
Mr. Stone was born Feb 28, 1890 in Dorset, the son of Henry and Lydia (Reed) Stone. He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Jones, and a son Vern Henry Stone, of Manchester Depot; two half sisters, two half brothers, Frank J. and Albert C. Kent; and a stepfather, Albert H. Kent, all of Manchester Depot.
Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
