SANDISKY DAILY REGISTER April 8, 1881:
[NORTH BASS]"...On the 15th Mrs. Catherine (sic) Becker departed this life at the advanced age of 87 (sic) years. She has been a resident of the Island for a number of years, living with her daughter, Mrs. C[atharine]. Cox. The funeral was held on Thursday, the 17th, at 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. C. Higgs, of Huron, arrived in time to pay their last respects to their departed mother."

Catharine's husband, Isaac Becker, has not been located. Deeds from Geauga County, Ohio from the 1830's do not help.
