MONROE—Claude A. Helms, 59, of 1110 Griffith Rd., died Friday morning in a local hospital. He was the son of Charles Franklin and Amanda Hill Helms.
Survivors include his wife the former Lessie Threatt; a son, Charles F. Helms of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Orin Pigg and Miss Ila Helms, both of Wingate' two brothers, Boyce J. Helms and Lloyd Helms both of Rt. 1, Wingate and a grandson, Charles F. Helms, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, 3 p.m. from McEwen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. C. Arthur Francis will officiate. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
