Born in Pennsylvania to John and Mary Baughy Mook. In 1847 following their sister, Effie Mook, brothers, Abram, Anthony and Benjamin settled in North Pembroke, NY. He always followed the occupation of farming and was a member of the Christian Church at North Pembroke. Abram built a suspension bridge over the Tonwanda River, 1860, and a schoolhouse on his property in Pembroke.
Abram Mook married Amy G. Martin 22 Apr 1847. Children: Anson E. Mook; Cordelia E. Mook, David G. Mook; Seba F. Mook.
2nd marriage: Jane C. Doan Martin. No children.
