New Holstein Reporter, Thurs. Dec. 8, 1988. Anthony “Jim” J. Baus, 56, 990 Wakawn Ave., Fond du Lac, died Nov. 29, 1988, at his home. He was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Marytown, the son of Alfred F. and Mary Schwind Baus. On April 7, 1956, he married Patricia L. TenBruck at St. Joseph’s Church. He worked for the Soo Line Railroad from 1956 to 1987 and was general yardmaster for Wisconsin Central Limited from 1987 until February 1988. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and was a member of American Legion Post N. 75 Trier-Puddy. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He served as state director for American Legion Baseball for 15 years. He is survived by his wife; a son, Jaye (Patricia M.) of Elmhurst, Ill.; two daughters, Barbara of Waupun, and Eileen of Fond du Lac; two granddaughters; his parents of Fond du Lac; one brother, Kenneth of Kiel; five sisters, Betty Lees, Savannah, Ga.; Mrs. George (Ceil) Loehr, Tavares, Fla., Mrs. Donald (Rose) Michels, North Fond du Lac, Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Steffan, Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Warren (Mary) Schlueter, Santa Barbara, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services were held Thursday evening at the Chapel of Risen Christ Mausoleum with the Rev. Julio Mirables officiating.
