Born in Greencastle June 12, 1887, Mrs. Hafer was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Gossard Boward.
Her early life was lived in Greencastle and Hagerstown. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hafer lived in Chambersburg for 15 years, before moving to Pittsburgh 35 years ago.
Mrs. Hafer was a member of Middleburg United Brethren Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elva Bondra, Seattle, Wash., and a number of nephews and nieces.
