Kathryn L. Davis, 93, of Moweaqua, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 (7:30 pm) in Moweaqua Nursing & Retirement Center.
Services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Kathryn was born in Niantic, Illinois on August 30, 1917 the daughter of Warren and Irena (Parks) Lindsey. She married Ralph A. Davis on August 7, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1988.
She was a farm wife and homemaker and retired to Moweaqua. Kathryn was a member of the First Christian Church of Moweaqua. She was a past member of the Christian County Home Bureau, Blue Mound Christian Church and Decatur Palette and Brush China Art Guild. She was known throughout the area for her unique hand painted china and jewelry.
She leaves behind her son Mark, and wife Lana Davis of Moweaqua; daughter Madeline, and husband Bill Mitchell of Decatur; grandsons Troy Cary of Cisco, IL, Todd, and wife Michelle Cary of Harrisburg, NC; granddaughters Tappi and husband Mark McLeod of Moweaqua, Tierre, and husband Shane Diepholz of Mattoon, and Tyelle, and husband Josh Dukeman of Moweaqua along with 12 great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Louise Lindsey.
