Mr. Vincent E. (Vince) Wahl, 81, ,of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care House in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Vince was born on July 6, 1927 in Venice, Ohio. A truck driver for nearly 30 years and grounds maintenance contractor for Charlotte Square in Port Charlotte for 10 years, Vince was a loving husband, father and great grandfather, who lived in Sandusky, Ohio until relocating to Port Charlotte in 1976. He was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church and the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2153 in Port Charlotte. Vince, an avid experimental aircraft hobbyist, was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Vince is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Grace M. Wahl; three children, a son, Vincent E. (wife Hollie) Wahl, Jr. of Whitehouse, OH, and daughters, Rebecca (husband Joseph) Rader of Findlay, OH, and Susan (husband Thomas) Lape of Valley Grove, W.VA; two sisters, Esther Keating and Audrey Schaeffer, both of Sandusky, OH, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and his devoted and beloved dog, Jett. Vince was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Irene K. Babcock in June of 2001.
