Obituary:
Funeral services for Everett Lee Reed, 79, of Belleview (MO), were held December 12, 1986 at Bryson Order of the Golden Rule Funeral Home. The Rev. Elbert Mason officiated, and songs played were "Precious Memories," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Pallbearers were: Sam Reed, Harry Reed, Don Reed, Bob Boring, Jess Boring, and Dennis Hilleman. Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park cemetery.
Everett died December 10, 1986 at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital. He was born East St. Louis, IL on February 13, 1907, son of Pearl Williams and Samuel Reed.
He lived in Belleview community all his life, and was retired from the timber and sawmill business. On March 18, 1928, he married Anna Womble, who preceded him in death in January 1981.
Others preceding him were his parents and two brothers, Lonnie and Luther Reed.
Survivors include four children: Harry Reed, Tampa, FL, Eugene Reed, Belleview, MO, Mrs. Edith Hilleman, Belleview, MO, and Mrs. Alice Russell, Farmington, MO; one brother, William Reed, Pilot Knob, MO; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Russell, Columbia, MO, Mrs. Georgia Ahrens, Arcadia, MO, Mrs. Gladys Anderson, Martinsville, IL, and Mrs. Mollie Boring, Belleview, MO; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
