Lonnie Andrew Reed, son of Samuel B. and Pearl Williams Reed, was born Oct. 29, 1910 near Piedmont, MO and passed away suddenly Dec. 20, 1969 at the age of 59 years, 1 month, & 20 days. In Sept. 1932 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Anderson and to this union one son was born.

He leaves to mourn his passing the son, Charles L. Reed of Florissant, MO; a daughter-in-law, June; and three granddaughters, Vicki, Jan and Theresa Reed; his mother, Mrs. S.B. Reed, of Belleview (MO), with whom he made his home; also seven brothers and sisters, Luther T. Reed of Bonne Terre, MO; Wm. J. Reed, MIddlebrook (MO); Everett L. Reed, Belleview (MO); Mrs. Earl I(Gladys) Anderson, Marshall (IL); Mrs. Carson (Helen) Russell, Columbia (MO); Mrs. J.W. (Mollie) Boring, Belleview (MO); and Mrs. George (Georgia) Ahrens of Arcadia (MO); several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Several years ago he was converted and was a member of the Piedmont Tabernacle Baptist Church at the time of his death.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 22, at White's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elvis Lewis in charge. Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial park." (End of obituary)

"Funeral services were held Monday in the White Funeral Home for Lonnie Andrew Reed, of Belleview, who died of an apparent heart attack while loading logs near Highway H on December 20. Mr. Reed was 59 years old.
