James Norton, one of the earliest settlers in St. Mary Township, died Wednesday morning at his home in this city at the age of eighty years. As a boy, he came from his birthplace in County Clare, Ireland, to America. He made his home at points in the Eastern states and lived for a time at Faribault. A few years ago he moved from his farm in St. Mary to his home in Waseca. He is survived by his wife and nine children. The funeral services are held this morning from the Catholic church, interment being made in St. Mary cemetery.
