Mr. A.M. (Ben) Krider was born Dec. 2, 1919 in Kewanee, Ill. He graduated from LaFayette High School and Bradley University in Peoria, Ill, in 1943 with an engineering degree. He married Phyllis Kaemmerling on Aug. 20, 1943 in Peoria, Ill. He began work as a district representative for R.G. LeTourneau, a construction equipment company. In 1955 he founded Krider Equipment Co. In Fargo. He was president of the company until 1985, when he became chairman of the board. He served on the national dealer councils of J.I. Case, American Hoist and Derrick and WABCO. He was a member of the North Dakota Associate Equipment Dealers and was recently selected to receive an honorary membership in the North Dakota Associated General Contractors.

Mr. Krider was a founder and director of the Union State Bank. He was an avid fan of the North Dakota State University Bison and was one of the original Team Makers.

The funeral was held at 2 Wednesday Sept. 1 in the Gethsemane Episcopal Cathedral in Fargo.
