He was in the Navy in World War II. He was First Class Seaman. He had a battleship blown out from under him. He survived that attack on his ship.
His grandparents were Willaim Jackson Tacy Jr. and Ann Victoria Knapp Tacy. His brothers were Harold Gatewood Tacy, Boyd Leo Tacy , Hoyie Lester Tacy and sister Reta Mae Tacy Hutzell. He had several nieces and nephews. He has numerous grand children and several great grandchildren.
His son Philip Boyd Tacy is buried behind his grave just little right of the headstone.
He died from a heart attack while mowing the yard.
He was 64 years old when he died.
He worked in construction and drove trucks. He also worked in a rock quarry in Manheim WV. In his life he rode and owned Harley Motorcycles. He had a talent of playing the guitar and banjo.
