PORTSMOUTH, VA. - Thurston Lutrell "Buddy" Gray, Jr. age 32, died Sunday, August 20 in Newport News, Va. He was employed with SMS Mechanical as a mechanic, and was the son of the late Thurston and Iva Payne Gray, Sr.
Survivors include his son, Brandon James Gray; one sister, Rebecca A. Parks; and three brothers, Dalton L. Gray, Carroll W. Gray and Bruce L. Gray, all of Portsmouth, Va.
A funeral service will be held in the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Stumpy Point, Wednesday, August 23, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, Va.. The body will be placed in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. preceding the service.
