Amanda was born in Sussex Co., NJ. She moved with her family to Indiana Co., PA in 1835. She married Daniel Koozer there in 1845 before moving to Clearfield Co., PA.

Indiana Weekly Messenger, 06 Sep 1899, p 3 - "Says the Clearfield Spirit of last week: 'Capt. William KIMPLE, of Chambersville, Pa., a veteran, widely known and with an exceptional war record, attended the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Daniel KOOZER, last Thursday. Peter FRECH, Democratic candidate for commissioner who is a brother-in-law of the deceased, also attended the funeral of Mrs. KOOZER.' "
