George E. Garner, 63 of Belton, died Wednesday Jan 6, 1971, in a Temple hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Little River Methodist Church, the Rev. William Horick officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Garner was born Jan. 7, 1907 in Bell County to Thomas Franklin & Lou Anna Marks Garner and lived in the county all his life. He was married to Miss Doris Geraldine Henderson, Jan. 6, 1940, in Little River. He was a member of the Little River United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Howell (Carolyn) Moore of Little River and Mrs. B.J. (Georgia) Reed of Garland; a son, Charles Ray Garner of Belton; six sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Artie) Kelley, Mrs. Chester (Eunice) Adams, Mrs. Eula Streeter, Mrs. Mary Segler, all of Little River and Mrs. M.F. Taylor and Mrs. R.J. Porter, both of Belton; a brother, Melvin Garner of Little River; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be W.C. Evans, Alton Honeycutt, R.N. Allison, W.C. Money, Jewell Tillman all of Little River and Roy Laws of Bartlett.
