Carrie Lou Crawford Quattlebaum joined her husband of 73 years, Curran Quattlebaum, in Heaven on Friday, June 10, 2011. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and lifelong friends. Visitation will be from 9-10am, Thursday, June 16, 2011, followed by funeral services at Sheffield Family Life Center, 5700 Winner Road. Burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Carrie was predeceased by her husband, Curran William Quattlebaum Jr., who passed away November 23, 2010, on their 73rd wedding anniversary. She is the mother of Carroll William, who preceded her in death, and William Joseph and his wife Barbara; dear grandmother to Frederick, Carlton, Stuart, Sheri, Tammy, Tamara Dawn, Jeremy, Josh, Keri, Glenda and Keith; beloved great-grandmother to Nathaniel, Jonathan, Sarah, Paige, Joey, Kyle and Kaden. Carrie's life was inextricably tied to her husband's in their lifelong shared partnership, passions and pursuits, which included the ministry, global missions, building, and ranching. She loved to cook, garden, entertain, and was gracious in everything she did. She deeply loved her husband, her family and her friends, and we all loved her without limit.
