Vera Burns Hinman, 91, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Teresian House in Albany following a long illness.

She was born November 30, 1913 in Saint Catherine's, Ontario, the daughter of the late Matthew J. and Elvera (Hendrickson) Burns. As a young girl, Vera moved to Albany where she graduated from Vincentian Institute and attended Albany State College. In 1933, she married Harold F. Hinman who predeceased her in 1981. Vera will be remembered by family and friends as an avid tennis enthusiast who could be seen on local tennis courts until age 85.
