About 1819 she married John Waid, son of John Waid and Ruth Merriman, who had 21 children (15 of which died probably as infants).
Laurana and John only had three children, Mary, Caleb, and Laura.

John Sr and Ruth Waid's children in the 1820 census were 1 male under 10 (Horace or Caleb?), 2 females under 10 (Lucy & Emeline?), and 1 female 10-15 (Ruth). Emeline could only have been the daughter of John Sr and Ruth (Merriam) Waid.
