THOMPSON, REBA SEXTON – age 81 of Powell, formerly of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at the St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. Born in Scott County, Tennessee April 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Zettie Yancey Sexton. She was a member of Paint Rock Baptist Church and attended Temple Baptist Church in Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Bernice Sexton; brothers, Burnell Sexton and James F. Sexton; and three infant sisters. Reba is survived by: her husband of 65 years, Jamon M. Thompson of Powell; an adopted son in Kansas City; two sisters, Joyce Chitwood and husband Eugene of Powell, and Rema Watters and husband Ken of Dorby, Kansas. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 28 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Jones & Son Funeral Home. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Oneida, TN.
