In 1893 the family moved to Indiana, locating in this county, north of Montclair. The family has lived in this county since that time. In 1874 she united with the Baptist church and later moved her membership to the Christian church at Pittsboro. She was stricken with paralysis Tuesday evening, Jan. 20, at five o'clock, and after the first few hours of her sickness did not regain consciousness. She passed quietly out at 3 p.m. Friday.

She leaves a husband, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn their loss.

She will be missed by her neighbors, whom she was always willing to help in time of need. The hungry never left her door unfed. - Mrs. George Francis.
