Mrs. Katheryn Duffee Drummond died Tuesday, May 2, 2000 in a local nursing home. Graveside services were held Thursday, May 4, 2000 at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas with the Reverend James Ford officiating, under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Frummond was born to Paul and Katie Dufee in Brownwood, Texas on June 14, 1915. She married John Drummond on February 23, 1952 in Big Spring, Texas. She was a graduate of Howard Payne University and attended Sul Ross University for four summers. She was a Colorado City school teacher for 39 years. She was a resident of Colorado City since 1950. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Womens Business Club and Epsilon Delta Kappa Gamma.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Paul and Marsha Drummond of Colorado City; one sister, Ena Pattillo of Colorado City; one brother, Paul Ford Duffee of Florida/Indiana; one granddaughter, Megan Drummond of Colorado City; and one step granddaughter, Heather Welch of Grapevine, Texas.
