Jacob Stryker, son of Jan (John) Stryker and Judick Van Neste, was baptized 25 Oct 1767, Readington Church, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. This baptism date would indicate that he was likely born in 1767, exact date unknown.
Jacob married Hannah Laboyteaux (also seen as Labertuse, Labertux, Laberulix in various records of the time) in Somerset County, New Jersey. The couple had at least the following children:

Elizabeth Stryker, married John Eastlick.
Catherine Stryker, married William Curley.
John Stryker, married Frances Eastlick.
Hannah Stryker, married Jacob Eastlick.
Peter Stryker, married Harriet Robbins.

In the 1790s, Jacob and Hannah Stryker moved to the Finger Lakes region of New York along with extended family. They were enumerated in various NY census records in 1800, 1810 and 1820. By 1830 they had moved to Trumbull County, Ohio.

It is not known precisely where the Strykers died or were buried. The headstone often attributed to Jacob Stryker is more likely the footstone belonging to John Stryker, who died in 1840 and is buried in the Laboiteaux-Cary Cemetery in North College Hill, Hamilton County, Ohio.
