A friendly outgoing person, Ida was employed by Procter and Gamble for 39 years. She was an award winning photographer and many beautiful family photos can be attributed to her talents. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary and 30 year volunteer as a "Pink Lady" at Providence Hospital and St. Francis St. George Hospital. She was also a Charter member of the Audubon Society and the Nature Conservancy.
Although she never married, Ida spoke with loving joy of her many nieces and nephews and their families. She held family in great regard and shared her enthusiasm of their acccomplishments. She also enjoyed speaking about some of her family treasures including a pair of child's sized wooden shoes carved especially for her by her Uncle John Bessler shortly before his death in 1950.
The visitation was held at Neidhard-Gillen Funeral Home
with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 A.M. at The Church of the Assumption.
