Mrs. Grace C. (Polly) Burns, 91, of Woodfield, wife of the late Walter Webster Burns, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Collingswood Nursing Home in Rockville. She was born near Damascus, a daughter of the late Chester A. and Agnes Watkins Sheckels.
Surviving are one daughter: Mrs. Gladys Neill, Rockville, seven sons: Clifton W. Burns, Frederick; Alfred C. Burns, Wheaton; Maurice F. Burns, Rockville; Carl B. Burns, Jacksonville, Flo.; Floyd E. Burns, Damascus; and James I. Burns, Rockville; and one sister: Mrs. Ruth Pearce, Damascus; two brothers: Roy Sheckels, Brunswick; and Harry Sheckels, Portland, Ore.; there are 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Olin L. Molesworth, on Friday, Aug. 8 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, with the Rev. James M. Warner officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Grove Cemetery, Woodfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, 23640 Woodfielkd Road, Gaithersburg, Md. 20760.
