He married Elizabeth Ann Stipp on October 27, 1880; she passed away April 19, 1891.
He then married Mary Stateler on November 29, 1893, who survived him.
Will was a well known Shropshire sheep raiser on his farm near Nation Chapel. He was at one time a member of the Clark County Fair Board, and a member of the Palestine Commandery, No. 33, Knights Templar.
In 1900 he and Mary moved to Chicago so he could undertake a livestock commission business with the help of cousin Tom Lott, but already ill with his last illness, they returned in 1901.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, an infant son by each marriage, two sisters and three brothers. He was survived by his wife, mother, two brothers, an uncle, and several nieces and nephews. His widow, several years later, married James McKee Love and moved to Champaign, Illinois.
