Mr. Warren Slinkard, 66, of 211 Durham St. died Friday in Enloe Hospital, Chico. Mr. Slinkard was born in Tulare County July 28, 1895. He had lived here for the past seven years and had been a resident of Modoc county for 56 years.

He was a veteran of WW 1 [as a Private First Class, Company D, 364 Infantry] and charter member of the Eagleville (Modoc County) community Church.

Survivors include his widow, Getrude of Durham; a son William slinkard of Chico; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Holecek of Mr. Shasta; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Cranston and Mrs. Leona Page both of Yuba City and Mrs Lola Wentzel of Santa Cruz, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Eagleville Community Church with the interment in the Eagleville Cemetery. Friends may call until 10 a.m. Sunday at Scheer's Memorial Chapel in Oroville.
