Jake Allender Dies Suddenly
C. Jacob "Jake" Allender, 64, died suddenly Monday morning after suffering a heart attack at his home at 607 E. Adams.
Allender had been employed at the local Philco-Ford Corp. plant for 29 years.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karl J. Barwin, Fairfield; and the Rev. Herman W. Kramer, Lake View, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
Allender was born May 2, 1906 in Henry County, the son of Lawrence and Kathryn Smith Allender. He was married to Kathryn Bower Dec. 24, 1936.
Surviving are his widow; one sister, Mrs. Velda Hildebrand; and one brother, George Allender, both of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Allender was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
