Cleo was the oldest of eight children born to Fiday Joseph 'Joe' and Alice Irene (Howard) Brown. She married Leslie Monroe Edwards and they had three children: Betty, Shirley and Jerry Monroe.

EDWARDS FUNERAL: Mrs. Cleo Brown Edwards, 78
HIGH POINT - Funeral for Mrs. Cleo Brown Edwards, 78, of 4314 Vickrey Chapel Road, who died Sunday, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Jamestown, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, she was a homemaker and a member of Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Betty Vuncannon, Mrs. Shirley Meredith, both of Jamestown; son, Jerry Monroe Edwards of Jamestown; brothers, Joe Brown of Jamestown, Robert Brown of High Point, Thomas Brown of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren.
The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home 7-8:30 p.m. today.
