William Wylie Gill was the first child of William Saunders Gill and Minnie Wylie Gill. Their second child was Charles Edwin Gill, Sr.(my Grandfather). They were from Troy NY. About 1899 the family, along with William's (the elder)brother Edwin all moved to Chicago Ill. No one seems to know why they made this move.
During WWI in 1918 the infamous Influzena Epidemic broke out and in October 1918 William Wylie caught the flu and died in 1919. He was never married and had no children. There are no direct decendants for William Wylie.

GILL-Wylie W. Gill died this morning at 1:30, at his home,406 Willard Avenue.He was taken ill with influenza last October and since then his decline had been rapid. He was 26 years old and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Gill, with whom he resided, and one brother, Edwin, of Spokane, Wash., who is now enroute to this city. Deceased was employed in the office of the B. & N. Railway & Light Co. the last two years. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
