STATESBORO -- Carlos A. Bland Sr., 88, died March 13 at Statesboro Nursing Home.
He was born in Liberty County and lived in Bulloch County most of his life. He was a former resident of Fort Stewart reservation, a former member of Lotts Creek Hunting Club and a member of Nevil's Hunting Club. He was a farmer.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Carlos Bland Jr. of Bloomingdale and Billy F. Bland of Fayetteville; a brother, Elmer M. Bland of Pooler; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: beginning at 6 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Friday in Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
