She was a retired teacher at Butcher's Valley and was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Berry; parents, James and Laura Arnott; brothers and sisters, Merle Arnott, Vivian Champe, Odell Davis, William Arnott, Robin Arnott and Flora Bell Arnott.
She is survived by a son, William Berry, Jonesborough; a grandson, Russell Berry, Johnson City; a granddaughter, Karon of California; a great-grandson; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Irene Spangler, Knoxville; and a special niece, Laura Owens, Raleigh, NC.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Otis Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were under direction of Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.
