MT. SALEM
Mr. Bennet S. Tinsley died of consumption, at the residence of Mr. Tol Ross, near Mt. Salem, on the 13th. He had reached the ripe age of 70 or more years and was a man of strong convictions and possessed several prominent traits, among which were his powerful observing faculties and a very retentive memory. About the year 1840 he was a partner in a flourishing tailoring establishment in Stanford. He lost his wife several years ago and not being a good financier the last years of his life he was in very reduced circumstances. He was connected with the best families in the county and respected by everybody.
