Cecilia Di Leone, a longtime resident of Mahopac, NY, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the United Hebrew Geriatric Center in New Rochelle, NY. She was 105.

She was born in Italy on May 7, 1906, the daughter of Pasquale and Elizabeth Cofrancesco. She came to the U.S. in 1921 and settled in Waterbury, CT before moving to Mahopac.

She was a parishioner of St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac and a member of its Altar Rosary Society as well as a member of the Italian American Club in Mahopac.

In 1937, she married Barney Di Leone at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Waterbury. He died in 1988.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan M. Caulway and her husband Jack of New Rochelle and Barbara E. Nix of San Diego, CA, her sister Aida Ciarleglio in Italy, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. John The Evangelist Church.
Interment: St. Lawrence Cemetery, Brewster, NY.
