Thomas Carlton "Slick" Alexander, 67, of Whitney, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Lake Whitney Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with the Rev. Paul Proctor and Mr. Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Slick was born in Brandon, Texas, to the late Felton and Lucille Alexander. He was a very faithful member of the Hillsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church. Slick delivered the Waco Tribune-Herald in the Whitney area for 35 years. He spent many hours playing dominoes with many dear friends. Slick loved and was loved by so many people in all walks of life.

He was preceded in death by a sister; and three brothers.

He leaves behind a brother, Daulton Alexander and wife, Alicia, of Burleson; sisters, Nelda Kattner and husband, Richard, of Waco, and Peggy Morris, of Whitney; seven nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; several cousins; and many friends.
