Sid Turner, 62, was called home to be with the Lord May 26, 2011 when his courageous fight with cancer came to an end. He grew up in Layton, Utah, the eldest of 4 children and married the love of his life and soul mate, Mary, August 27, 1981. They shared 30 wonderful years together. Sid was a loving, caring and devoted Husband, Father and doting Grandfather (Bampa). He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter-Michelle and husband James Wallace and twin grand-children-Brandon and Cameron of Seattle, Wa; son-Michael Turner and granddaughter, Ashlyn of Las Vegas; daughter-Shannon and husband Rick Neiswonger and grandson Ryan of Orlando Fl; his Father, William Turner and two sisters, Denise and Tricia Turner of Layton, UT; and many loving friends. His Mother, Margaret Turner and brother, Rodney, preceded him in death. Sid's career was Sales Management in the insurance and automobile industries, and Real Estate sales for American West. He retired September 2009. Sid will be remembered as a fun-loving, easy-going guy who loved his friends, family, faith, and life. He held a special bond with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was active at Faith Community Lutheran Church where he enjoyed worship services and the "small group" bible study as well as serving at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. He enjoyed traveling, his Harley, fishing, hunting, boating, quads and golf. He had a heart of gold and would do any thing for anyone. A celebration of Life service will be held at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 2700 S Town Cntr Dr, Sat, June 11, at 11:00 a.m., reception to follow.
