George Blacker, 85, of Idaho Falls, died at EIRMC from injuries due to a fall. He was born to Thomas Blacker and Hettie Mae Wilkes. He grew up on a farm in Rupert and graduated from Rupert High School. He and Louise June Hammer were marreid July 12, 1945, in Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Osgood, where they owned and operated the Osgood Store for 35 years before retiring in Idaho Falls. George also worked at Riverview Hospital for 12 years. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various capacities, including the Family History Committee. He loved gardening and was known for beautiful flower beds. He also enjoyed carpentry and listening to beautiful music.

Wife: Louise Blacker, Idaho Falls; children: Carol (Adrian) Fredericks of Woodland Hills, UT; Ron (Marilyn) Blacker of Idaho Falls; Wanda Blacker of Orem, UT; and Corrine (Cory) Lindorff of Orem, UT; and sisters: Merintha Garner of Rupert; and Marie Green of Burley
9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren an 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, eight brothers and a sister. Funeral Services held December 4, 2004, at Taylor Crossing Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive in Idaho Fals, with Bishop Kent Browning officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery was under direction of Wood Funeral Home.
